Celebrating New Leaders and Honoring Standout Contributions
Leadership Rockland, a professional development organization located in Rockland County, is preparing to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating Class of 2024 during their annual Graduation Dinner and Alumni Reunion on June 18, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Nyack Seaport. With a roster of 29 emerging leaders, this year’s cohort is 33rd graduating one of the largest in its 35 years.
The graduates, hailing from diverse sectors across the non-profit, government, and for-profit communities, are set to complete an intensive 10-month educational journey delving into the rich tapestry of Rockland County’s history, government, public policy, arts and culture, environmental issues, and cultural diversity.
“This year’s class has not only shown an impressive grasp of the challenges we face but has also brought innovative ideas to the forefront. Their eagerness to drive positive change in Rockland County is a testament to the strength of our program,” said Lizanne Fiorentino, Leadership Rockland Chairperson “As we celebrate their graduation, we also look forward to their future contributions to our community.”
The event will be marked by the presentation of two illustrious awards. Ryan O’Gorman, Director of Retention and Student Success at Dominican University, will be honored as the Leader of the Year for his exceptional contributions to educational advancement; Howard Hellman, Founder and Chairman of All Bright Electric, will receive the Business Leader of the Year award, recognizing his significant impact on the local business landscape.
Ryan O’Gorman is celebrated for his exceptional dedication to educational advancement, having spearheaded numerous initiatives aimed at supporting student success and engagement throughout his two-decade-long career in higher education.
Howard Hellman, after founding All Bright Electric in 1969, led the company’s transformation from an electrical contracting company into a regional leader in technical projects. His visionary leadership and strategic planning have driven significant growth and success for the organization.
