Programs and events

Alumni Committees

The alumni committees are active ways for you to participate in the Leadership Rockland organization after your class year. We have three committees that are involved in ongoing activities that benefit our organization.

The Teen Leadership committee, under the guidance of Paul Trader ('94) and Phyllis Morena ('92) from Cornell Cooperative Extension, is modeled after the Leadership Rockland program, and has representatives from various high schools throughout Rockland County.

The Continue the Experience committee, chaired by Alumni past President Dorothy Filoramo of Dominican College ('95) works on providing educational seminars featuring prominent speakers, with themes building on management and leadership skills.

The Web Site committee, headed by former Alumni President Dan Weisberg of the Clarkstown Police Department ('94), maintains the web site for the organization, and continues to seek ways to improve the site.

The board is also evaluating other committee projects at this time. If you would like to work on one of these committees, or have an idea for a project for the association, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
